According to official data, industrial output in the first quarter amounted to 16 billion somoni ($1.7 billion), a 14.1% increase compared to the same period last year.

The manufacturing industry contributed most to this growth, with output increasing by 29.6%. Positive dynamics were also noted in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sectors, with growth of 7.5%.

		<description><![CDATA[ASHGABAT - Turkmenistan continues construction of the new Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway. The total length of the road will be approximately 251 kilometers, Orient.tm reports.

The project includes two sections: 207 kilometers from Turkmenbashi to Garabogaz, and 43.6 kilometers from Garabogaz to the Kazakh border. The work is being carried out by Altyn Nesil, commissioned by the Ministry of Roads of Turkmenistan.
