Valuable documents containing information about Kazakhstan were brought from the countries of the European Union to Astana. Documents were found in such countries as Hungary, Germany, Italy, the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan reports.
In total, scientists from Kazakhstan visited 14 countries in 2022. The documents they collected include 445 photographs, as well as 206 books and rare manuscripts. Chronologically, the papers cover the period between 918-1990, the ministry said in a statement.
The returned documents were transferred to the National Archives of Kazakhstan. Now the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan is working to create a single database. To distribute valuable historical papers, the printing of photo albums, collections, chronographs, biographical directories and other useful materials began.
“The work of our archaeologists and historians does not end there. Until 2025, Kazakh scientists are planning several more expeditions abroad,” said Nurkisa Daueshov, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan.
