Saudi Arabia allocated 7,000 quotas to Tajikistan for performing the Hajj rite in 2023, Avesta reports.

The corresponding agreement was signed last week during the visit of the head of the Committee on Religious Affairs of Tajikistan Sulaimon Davlatzoda to Saudi Arabia, spokesman for the Committee on Religious Affairs, Regulation of Folk Traditions, Celebrations and Rites Afshin Mukim told the agency.

Thus, according to the signed agreement, 7 thousand quotas were allocated to Tajikistan. But, at the same time, in the event of an outbreak of viral diseases, in particular COVID-19, Saudi Arabia may revise the rules for performing the Hajj this year.
