Almost 1 million tourists visited Tajikistan in 2022. Most of the tourists are citizens of neighboring countries, "Avesta" reports.
Over 100 tourism infrastructure facilities have been built and put into operation in Tajikistan in 2022, Tajik authorities have reported.
It is noted that attracting investments in this area has allowed, along with an increase in the number of tourists, also to increase the number of domestic travel companies.
In particular, over the past 5 years, more than 3.9 million tourists have visited Tajikistan, and the total number of tourism infrastructure has exceeded 600 service facilities.
In addition, from January 1, 2022, Tajikistan unilaterally introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of 52 countries.
Also, for this purpose, a simplified version of obtaining a visa has been introduced for citizens of 126 countries.
