ADB finances 15 projects in Tajikistan worth almost $1 bln

A trilateral review of investment projects funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tajikistan for the third quarter of 2023 took place in Dushanbe, the Committee's press service reports.

The discussion of the projects was led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, Kodirzoda Sadi Sanginmurad, as reported by Avesta.

The event was attended by representatives of the Executive Office of the President of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan, the Asian Development Bank, as well as the executive and implementing agencies of state investment projects financed by the Asian Development Bank.

During the discussion, it was noted that there are currently 15 state investment projects financed by the Asian Development Bank with a total value of $922.8 million. These projects cover various sectors, including transportation, energy, healthcare, education, water supply, irrigation, environmental protection, and more.

The heads of the executive and implementing agencies for state investment projects were given specific instructions and tasks for the timely and quality implementation of the projects.
