Production in the manufacturing industry of Kazakhstan can be increased by $46 billion, Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Ilyas Ospanov said at a meeting of members of the Government of Kazakhstan with entrepreneurs from Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions. At the same time, Kazakhstan has the potential to additionally supply products to the market of the macroregion for almost $300 billion, according to the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan.
Among the main areas in which there is an opportunity for the development of domestic production: oil and gas engineering, production of building materials, food and fertilizers, production of steel products, aluminum and copper products, processing of iron ore, cotton fiber, wool, leather, etc.
As a direct measure of state incentives, this year it is planned to finance projects in the manufacturing industry in the amount of more than 500 billion tenge, including through the Industry Development Fund and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, stressed that the government will actively support the initiatives of medium-sized businesses to create and expand new industries. Among the main priorities here are localization, the introduction of new technologies, the digital transformation of enterprises, the creation of competitive products of medium and upper redistribution, and the development of modern infrastructure.
