Tajikistan plans to establish an institution focused on combating terrorism. A training center specializing in countering extremism and threats related to weapons of mass destruction is set to be created.
This information was announced at an international conference in Dushanbe, organized by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety.
The new center will focus on countering terrorism, including those threats associated with CBRN materials (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear).
The project covers areas such as capacity building, infrastructure development, the introduction of technological innovations, and the strengthening of international cooperation.
The proposed measures are expected to significantly enhance the region’s capabilities in preventing the proliferation of CBRN threats and improve its response to terrorist challenges.
