The situation with Tajik citizens stuck at Moscow airports remains difficult, the Tajik Foreign Ministry says, Knews.kg reports.

As of the end of the day on April 27, 954 citizens of Tajikistan are in the temporary detention zone of citizens of the Vnukovo International Airport in the Russian capital without providing proper sanitary conditions. Among the stranded citizens are Tajik students studying in Russia at the expense of educational quotas of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Of the total number of Tajik citizens stuck at Vnukovo airport, after many hours of waiting, 322 people were allowed into Russian territory. At the same time, according to available information, the Russian authorities intend to add 306 people to the so-called “expulsion list.” The immediate number of those already expelled was 27 people. Such restrictive measures apply exclusively to citizens of Tajikistan.

A difficult situation is also observed at the Zhukovsky, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports of the Russian capital, where dozens of Tajik citizens are being held in detention zones without proper conditions.
