A three-day international forum combining the exhibition and conference “Turkmentel-2025” and “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2025” has opened in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, Orient.tm reports.
The opening ceremony was attended by government members, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps. A welcome message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out, emphasizing the strategic importance of digitalization and the development of the country’s transit potential.
The combination of telecommunications and transport topics reflects Turkmenistan’s policy of integrating digital technologies into logistics. The first day’s agenda focuses on international transport corridors and investment projects. On November 13, a Fintech Forum with the participation of the British company Dialogue Events Ltd and a UNDP International Startup Forum dedicated to innovation and youth entrepreneurship will take place.
On November 14, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will hold a seminar on digital governance and artificial intelligence applications. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony for the “Digital Solution-2025” competition winners.
The forum serves as a key platform for modernizing the economy, attracting investment, and developing a “Digital Silk Road.” It highlights Turkmenistan’s readiness for accelerated integration into the global digital economy and for strengthening its position as a major transport and logistics hub in Central Asia.
