Attempt to export valuable cultural property from Uzbekistan stopped

An attempt to export 4,050 cultural values ​​from Uzbekistan was suppressed. This was stated by the head of the information service of the Agency for Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Mohinur Imomova, the UzA agency reports.

To date, the Uzbek Cultural Heritage Agency has identified over 9,000 cultural values ​​of Uzbekistan stored abroad.

Of these, 2,341 are items related to archeology and ethnography, 3,869 are manuscripts, 969 are numismatic items, that is, coins from different eras, 986 are textiles, 487 are musical heritage, 208 are miniature works.

The 1st volume of a scientific study entitled "Register of Manuscripts of Uzbekistan Abroad", which includes scientific descriptions of 1001 manuscripts, was published in Uzbek, English and Russian. To date, the 2nd and 3rd volumes of this register have been prepared for publication. They collected data on about 2,200 manuscripts.
