The issues of the participation of financial organizations of Uzbekistan - 'Asakabank' and the Business Development Bank in attracting investments and supporting small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) were discussed at a presentation attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reports the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
The existing results are pleasing. 'Asakabank' plans to attract $2.1 billion to SME projects and fully utilize it this year. It is planned to involve 285,000 people in entrepreneurship by supporting their business initiatives.
The Business Development Bank this year will attract a total of $1.5 billion to support entrepreneur programs and investment projects. By financing the business ideas of the population, it is planned to facilitate the activities of 380,000 self-employed and individual entrepreneurs.
After listening to this information, President Mirziyoyev emphasized that banks should serve as a support for their clients and help at every stage of project implementation. All of this should be reflected in the creation of new jobs and the reduction of poverty in neighborhoods.
