Azerbaijan approves cooperation agreement with Turkmenistan and Turkey

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving an agreement on trade and economic cooperation with Turkmenistan and Turkiye, Trend reports.

Within the framework of the law, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance was instructed to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the agreement approved by the heads of the three republics at the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkiye summit, which was held last December in Turkmenbashi.

Now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan must notify Ashgabat and Ankara about the implementation of the necessary domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force.

Earlier, at a trilateral summit in the Turkmen city of Avaza, agreements were reached in the field of trade, transport, humanitarian cooperation and a common commitment to increase mutual trade was confirmed.
