The authorities of Kyrgyzstan are taking all necessary measures for the complete resettlement of all ethnic Kyrgyz from the territories of the Lesser and Greater Pamirs in Afghanistan, RIA Novosti reports.

At the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, the construction of 400 houses for the Pamir Kyrgyz will begin in the Chon-Alai district of the Osh region in the near future, the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan announced.

Construction work is scheduled to begin in May this year. All houses will be provided with heat, electricity and everything else necessary for normal living.

The state has enough forces and means for these works, the report says. And the problem is simply urgent. Every year the Kyrgyz community in Afghanistan is reduced by 6-7%. Zero population growth. If this trend continues for 10-15 years, then scientists predict the gradual disappearance of the Afghan Kyrgyz tribes from the territory of the Afghan Pamir.
