Cargo transportation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan resumed

In the Uzbek city Termez on the border with Afghanistan, a meeting was held between official representatives of Uzbekistan and an Afghan delegation headed by the head of the Afghan railway department, Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat, UzA reports.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a new agreement between the Afghan Railway Administration and the Uzbek DP Sogdiana Trans on the continuation of the operation of the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway, the press service of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC reported.

On February 10, the delivery of wagons sent to Afghanistan to the Hairatan station by the subsidiary of Sogdiana Trans, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC, was resumed.

As a result of the negotiations, a protocol on the agreements reached was signed.
