At the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Bishkek on November 6, the chairmanship of the organization was officially transferred to Kyrgyzstan. "We intend to make every effort to effectively support the implementation of decisions made at the OTS Bishkek Summit," stated Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in his address.

Addressing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose recent official visit to Kyrgyzstan concluded with him being awarded Kyrgyzstan’s highest state honor, Japarov expressed his pleasure at the continued strengthening of strategic Kyrgyz-Turkish relations, benefiting both nations.

"This year, I have made state and official visits to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, during which our commitment to expanding strategic relations and comprehensive development was reaffirmed," Japarov added. He also extended support to Azerbaijan for the upcoming major international event, the UN Climate Conference, COP-29, to be hosted in Azerbaijan.

Japarov highlighted that Kyrgyzstan’s bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan has been steadily advancing in all areas, thanks to active discussions with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

"It is a great honor for us to assume the rotating chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States. Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship will operate under the motto ‘Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.’ During this period, we will strive to fully support the implementation of decisions made at the Bishkek Summit,” Japarov concluded.
