During the reporting period, 115.6 million tons of cargo were transported by all modes of transport — up 15.4% compared to the previous year. Passenger transportation reached 832 million people, showing a 9.6% increase year-on-year.
Road transport continues to play a key role in Tajikistan’s transport system, accounting for over 95% of all cargo and nearly 100% of passenger traffic. This dominance is attributed to the country’s mountainous terrain and specific climatic conditions.
