Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kyrgyzstan from non-CIS countries increased by 4.1% in 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan. The growth was driven by inflows from Luxembourg, Germany, Cyprus, Turkey, and mainly from China.
At the same time, investment from CIS countries rose 1.6 times compared to 2023, with the main increases coming from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
The largest investors in Kyrgyzstan’s economy in 2024 were:

In terms of regional distribution, the majority of investments (90.2%) were directed to enterprises in Bishkek, as well as in the Chui, Jalal-Abad, and Talas regions.
Compared to 2023, FDI inflows increased in Batken, Osh, and Chui regions, as well as in the capital city of Bishkek.
When compared with 2020, investment growth was recorded in all regions of the country, except for the Issyk-Kul region.
