China expands digital trade with Central Asian countries

China intends to expand its trade relations with Central Asia in the field of digital commerce, Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokeswoman Shu Jueting said, according to Xinhua News Agency.

China encourages its enterprises to set up warehouses in Central Asian countries and supports companies from these countries that register on Chinese e-commerce platforms. China is also ready to share its experience in developing advanced digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and 5G.

The official representative noted that China welcomes the receipt of additional volumes of products from the countries of Central Asia on its market.

In addition, China is promoting the construction of cross-border infrastructure, strengthening cooperation in the oil and gas sector, promoting the construction of cross-border pipelines, deepening cooperation in the agricultural sector, and increasing imports of high-quality agricultural products from Central Asian countries.

China also plans to strengthen cooperation with the Central Asian countries in multilateral formats and supports the early entry of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan into the World Trade Organization.
