China intends to support Uzbekistan and develop cooperation

"China will support Uzbekistan in defending its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity," said Li Keqiang, the Premier of the State Council of China, during negotiations with Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov in Hangzhou, Eastern China, TASS reports.

"China will firmly support Uzbekistan in defending its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity and in pursuing a development path that suits its national realities," quoted Xinhua, the head of the Chinese government.

China is ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan to "constantly transform the important consensus reached by the heads of the two countries into actions and concrete results that will enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan in a new era," emphasized Li Keqiang. China intends to use the "Belt and Road Initiative" as the main direction of cooperation, expanding economic, trade, and energy collaboration, added the head of the Chinese government.

Chinese authorities encourage their enterprises to invest in Uzbekistan, open and develop businesses in the country, noted Li Keqiang. He called on both sides to strengthen cooperation in education, culture, tourism, sports, healthcare, and other fields.

"China is ready to cooperate with Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, to promote cooperation in key areas, including investment, trade, and mutual connections, in order to create an even closer Chinese-Central Asian community with a shared future," concluded Li Keqiang.

In his speech, Prime Minister Aripov of Uzbekistan highlighted that Uzbekistan highly values its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and is ready to learn from China's experience in deepening reforms, expanding openness, and advancing Chinese modernization comprehensively. He also expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation with China in various fields based on equality.
