BISHKEK — Bilateral trade between China and Kyrgyzstan reached a historic high of $27.2 billion in 2025, up 20% year-on-year, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping announced at a press briefing, Economist.kg reports.
The two countries posted the fastest trade growth rate in Central Asia. Kyrgyz exports to China showed particularly dynamic expansion, surging by 86%.
"China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners. 2025 was a year of dynamic development in bilateral relations: Presidents Xi Jinping and Sadyr Japarov met three times," the Ambassador noted.

Further development of the partnership will be driven by synchronization of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Kyrgyzstan's National Development Program through 2030.
"Through joint efforts, our cooperation will undoubtedly yield rich results and tangible benefits for the peoples of both countries," Ambassador Liu emphasized.
China stands ready to expand engagement with Kyrgyzstan in trade, investment, transport connectivity, science and technology, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges.
