Turkmenistan and China maintain stable and deepening ties across various sectors, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated in a letter addressed to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of Nowruz, TDH reports.
"On behalf of the government of the People's Republic of China and the Chinese people, I extend my sincere congratulations to you, the government, and the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of Nowruz. At present, China-Turkmenistan relations are maintaining stable development, cooperation within the framework of the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ continues to advance, and interaction across various fields is constantly deepening," the message read.
President Xi emphasized his commitment to fostering China-Turkmenistan relations and expressed his willingness to maintain strong working relations with the Turkmen leader. He reaffirmed his intention to promote mutual cooperation in all areas to bring new substance to the construction of a China-Turkmenistan Community with a Shared Future.
Xi Jinping also sent a congratulatory letter to National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He recalled the chairman’s visit to China in October 2023 to participate in the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
"We had a warm discussion about the traditional friendship between China and Turkmenistan, held an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral partnership across various sectors, and reached mutual understanding. It is gratifying to note that our agreements have been successfully implemented, and cooperation in all fields is yielding positive results," Xi Jinping wrote.
