The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has officially denied reports of Tajikistan requesting assistance, the Belarusian news agency BELTA reports.
The alliance’s press service stated that the republic had not submitted any request for support in connection with the events at the end of November, and cooperation on strengthening the border with Afghanistan is being carried out within the framework of a previously approved intergovernmental program.
The clarification was issued in response to the dissemination of inaccurate information by several Telegram channels.
“In connection with the publication of unreliable information in a number of Telegram channels, including the ‘Eurasian Briefing’ channel, we inform that the Tajik side has not requested any assistance from the CSTO regarding the events of November 26 and 30, 2025,” the press service emphasized.
The organization also stressed that cooperation with Dushanbe is conducted on a systematic and ongoing basis.
“Tajikistan’s cooperation with its CSTO allies on strengthening the border with Afghanistan is based on the relevant Targeted Intergovernmental Program, approved at the 2024 Collective Security Council session held in Astana,” the CSTO added.
Thus, the alliance clarified that all joint activities are implemented in accordance with pre-agreed plans and are not prompted by any emergency incidents.
