The authorities of Tajikistan and Pakistan are ready to expand cooperation in the field of energy, the transport industry, including for the allocation of Tajikistan's resources to the Pakistani ports of Karachi and Gwadar. This was stated in Islamabad by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon after talks with Prime Minister of Fruit Shahbaz Sharif, TASS reports.
“We pay special attention to the development of trade and economic cooperation and investment, especially in the energy and transport industries, noted at a press conference Rahmon, who is in Pakistan on an official visit.
The parties "exchanged views on the continuation of cooperation in the implementation of energy projects, including the KASA-1000 project," Rahmon added.
The Tajik leader said that in the transition to increasing growth, which includes priority bilateral relations, attention should be paid to fine and heavy industry, industrial production, the production of chemicals and medicines.
"We have an active interest in actively dealing with the Pakistani companies we represent," Rahmon said, arguing that Tajikistan is proposing to set up joint ventures for the final evaluation of agricultural and food production, especially in its economic zones.
Dushanbe wholeheartedly welcomes the expansion of ties between the business circles of the two countries, the official representation of Rahmon's media.
