The budget of Kyrgyzstan in the first four months of 2023 received 7 billion 211.5 million soms in the form of import customs duties, with most of it provided by its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, Akchabar reports.

According to available data, import customs duties from the EAEU member states amounted to 6 billion 997.1 million soms. Russia replenished the treasury of Kyrgyzstan by 5 billion 465 million soms. It is followed by Kazakhstan and Belarus with contributions of 929.6 million soms and 351.1 million soms, respectively.

And Armenia transferred 251.4 million soms.

The data testify to the significant contribution of the Member States of the Union to the customs revenues of Kyrgyzstan, which play an important role in replenishing the country's budget and supporting economic development initiatives.

It is noteworthy that, compared to the same period in 2022, the volume of customs duties received by the budget almost doubled, from 3.7 billion soms. This is entirely due to the increase in revenues from the member countries of the EAEU, with growth noted in all member states. At the same time, Armenia showed the greatest dynamics, by 2.6 times.
