The President of the EBRD will co-chair the first plenary meeting of the Foreign Investors' Council, which will be an important platform for dialogue between foreign investors and the Uzbek authorities.

At the Samarkand Conference on EU-Central Asia Links, President Renaud-Basso will speak about the need to identify the most sustainable transport links between the states of Central Asia and Europe, as existing trade corridors are disrupted due to geopolitical events.

In 2021, the EBRD invested almost $690 million in 22 projects in Uzbekistan, making it the largest recipient of Bank financing in the region for the second consecutive year.

To date, the EBRD has invested €3.78 billion in 119 projects in Uzbekistan.
