Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Nikolai Podguzov, informed journalists about plans for investment in the economy of Tajikistan. "Our goal today is to significantly increase the volume of investments in Tajikistan compared to the current year. We have several projects in mind. I hope we will demonstrate good results in 2024," "Khovar" reports.

The EDB is ready to allocate around $100 million for the modernization of the Dushanbe International Airport. Currently, active negotiations are taking place with the airport management and the airline "Somon Air" on the aircraft fleet modernization program and the construction of a technical base for servicing the aircraft fleet, said Podguzov.

According to the EDB's assessment, Tajikistan's economic growth remains stable and high. The GDP growth in 2023 is expected to be 8.2%. The key contributors to the dynamics of economic activity in the country were sectors oriented towards consumer and investment demand, specifically trade and construction.
