EU ready to further expand relations with Turkmenistan

In her New Year's address to the citizens of Turkmenistan, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) Beata Peska, stated that Brussels is committed to expanding relations with Ashgabat in all segments, Orient reports.

"We are firmly committed to further strengthening and expanding ties with Turkmenistan in various areas in the year 2024. Leaving behind this challenging year for the world, we all carry in our hearts a strong belief and hope that the new year will bring us peace and justice, prosperity, success, and new achievements," the message says, as reported by Orient.

She highlighted the achievements in the cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union in the outgoing year, emphasizing the significance of the country's participation in the ministerial meeting "EU - Central Asia." Peska also expressed gratitude for the readiness to host the next meeting of this format in 2024.

In 2023, Turkmenistan and the European Union celebrated the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
