Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held negotiations with a delegation from Euronews, which was on a working visit to Ashgabat, Hronikatm.com reports.

The delegation was headed by Euronews' Vice President for Sales and Partnerships, Sylvain Jean Yves Roget.

"The parties noted the fruitful cooperation that has been established over the past decade, during which several successful projects have been implemented to cover significant events in Turkmenistan," the statement said.

Both sides outlined plans and expressed readiness to enhance their collaborative work.

Following the meeting, an Agreement on Partnership was signed between the "Turkmenaragatnashyk" Agency and Euronews.

Prior to this, Mr. Roget visited Ashgabat and also met with representatives of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs in January 2023. The foreign ministry described that meeting with the same words: "Within the framework of the cooperation that has been established over the past decade, a number of projects have been implemented to cover significant events in Turkmenistan."

Turkmenistan has previously collaborated with the European television channel. In 2017, Euronews broadcasted advertisements about the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (Asian Indoor Games) held in Ashgabat. In January 2020, representatives from Euronews and Turkmen diplomats discussed the creation of informational materials and the training of professionals.
