Tajikistan's external debt at the beginning of this year amounted to $3.2 billion, Tajik Finance Minister Fayziddin Kakhorzoda said, Avesta reports.
At the moment, the volume of external debt amounted to 28.5% of the Gross Domestic Product of Tajikistan.
The Government of Tajikistan allocated $254.6 million to service the external debt. $72 million of this amount was directed to interest rates.
The amount of loan agreements amounted to $25.7 million, or 3.9% of the total. The share of the government of Tajikistan in these agreements is 4.1%, or $26.9 million.
During the reporting period, 19 agreements were signed for $664.9 million 92%, or $612.3 million of them are grant funds, the report says.
