Father of Turkmen President took part C5+1 meeting in Berlin

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in a meeting of the heads of Central Asian states and Germany in Berlin, Turkmenistan State News Agency TDH reports.

The meeting took place in the format of a working breakfast under the chairmanship of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany. Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan also participated in the meeting.

In his speech at the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan welcomes the initiative to create a new multilateral format and is ready to expand partnership in all areas of common interest.

The Central Asian countries intend to continue developing cooperation aimed at creating conditions for the well-being of their peoples in the region. In this context, it was stressed that among the most pressing contemporary issues are security, socio-economic development, ecology, and the humanization of international relations.

Berdimuhamedov, the elder, also highlighted that economic development is one of the key priorities for the countries of Central Asia. He noted that today the global economic system implies not only the integration of economies of different countries but also the harmonious operation of many of its components.

Among these components, traditional sectors such as energy, transportation, and the financial sector were mentioned, as well as new modern segments of the economy, such as digitization, artificial intelligence, and green technologies.

During the high-level meeting, there was also an exchange of views on the development of cooperation in the environmental and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
