The International Film Festival of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held from 27 to 31 January this year in Mumbai, India.
Tajikistan at this cultural event as a jury of the competition program will be represented by the director of the state institution "Tajikfilm" Mahmadsaid Shokhiyon, "Avesta" reports.
The competition sector presents Tajik feature films "Dov" directed by Mukhiddin Muzaffar, "The Last Prey of a Hunter" directed by Muhammadrabi Ismoil, "Roch" directed by Nosir Saidov, and a short feature film "Etude" directed by Mumin Kodirov.
The competition section is for SCO member states only and includes various prestigious awards such as Best Feature Film, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Best Director (Feature Film), Special Jury Prize.
In total, 57 films were selected for participation in the SCO Film Festival. 14 feature films from 7 countries will be shown in the competitive section, and 43 films will be presented in the out-of-competition section.
Currently, eight countries are full members of the SCO - China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan.
