The first plasma donation center in Central Asia, "Feruza," has opened in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, reports Uza.uz.
The center, created according to European Union standards, is designed to collect plasma as a pharmaceutical raw material for the production of related products.
The plasma center has implemented the GMP system, which defines the quality standard for the production of medicines. A set of foreign high-tech equipment and consumables has been purchased for its operation, and its staff has undergone training in the Czech Republic. Additionally, GMP standard specialists from Hungary have been invited.
The center has received a license for medical activities, a GMP certificate, and permission to produce blood products such as albumin, immunoglobulins, and blood coagulation factors.
The opening of the center is an important stage in the implementation of the investment agreement signed with the "Tashkent Pharma Park" cluster in November 2022.
By the end of the year, three more plasma collection centers are planned to open in Tashkent, and over 20 centers across all regions.
