The fourth meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Bishkek.
During the event, the heads of the delegations reviewed joint activities in the energy sector within the framework of the OTS and highlighted the importance of the Concept for the Development of the Turkic World until 2040, the Astana Act, the OTS Program, and the Action Plan for Energy Cooperation for 2023-2027. These documents aim to strengthen constructive cooperation and comprehensive interaction between the Ministries of Energy of Turkic states.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic N. Golliyev, First Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Yesimkhanov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan P. Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic T. Ibraev, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey A. Conkar, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary P. Starai, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Mamatkarimov, as well as the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States K. Omuraliev.
Ambassador N. Golliyev of Turkmenistan noted that energy cooperation is one of the key areas among the states, where there are great prospects for strengthening interaction to ensure stable and sustainable supplies of energy resources. It was also emphasized that this meeting marks another step towards further development and fruitful cooperation in the energy sector.
The participants also exchanged views on the importance of developing green energy corridors across the region and welcomed the progress in implementing projects related to the development and transmission of green energy between countries.
At the end of the meeting, a Joint Communiqué was signed.
