GDP of Kyrgyzstan for 5 months of this year increased by 3.4%

For five months of 2023, the volume of Kyrgyzstan's GDP amounted to 354.9 billion soms, its real growth rate was 3.4% (for January-May 2022 - 4.5%). Economic growth is provided by all sectors of the economy: in industry, production volumes increased by 1.2%, in agriculture - by 2.4%, in construction - by 4.6%, and in the service sector - by 1.2%.

Such information was disseminated by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, summing up the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan in January-May 2023.

For five months, the volume of GDP amounted to 354.9 billion soms, its real growth rate was 103.4% (in January-May 2022 - 104.5%). Economic growth is provided by all sectors of the economy: in industry, production volumes increased by 1.2%, in agriculture - by 2.4%, in construction - by 4.6%, and in the service sector - by 1.2%.

According to the results of January-May, the volume of investments in fixed assets from all sources of financing amounted to 33.3 billion soms and increased by 4.7%.

The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EAEU member states in January-April amounted to 1,126.7 million US dollars and decreased by 7.6% compared to January-April 2022. The largest share of Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade during this period fell on Russia (62.3%) and Kazakhstan (35.1%).

At the same time, the volume of foreign trade with third countries outside the EAEU amounted to 2,758.8 million dollars and increased by 47.0% compared to January-April 2022.
