Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Daler Juma, held talks in Dushanbe with the regional manager of the German Development Bank (KfW) for the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia, Jonas Rathfelder, along with the bank’s Central Asia representative, Andreas Schneider, according to the ministry’s press center.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between Tajikistan and the German Development Bank, emphasizing the importance of current and future joint projects.
One of the main topics was the construction of the Sebzor hydropower plant in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), funded by KfW. This project is a key component of the country’s strategy for green energy development.
In addition, ministry representatives showcased Tajikistan's opportunities for building hydropower and solar power plants, given the country’s natural potential to increase clean energy production.
