During the first 11 months of 2023, Kyrgyzstan exported 15.5 tons of gold, generating a state revenue of $972.8 million. This is an increase of $971.7 million compared to the same period last year when gold sales abroad amounted to only $1.086 million, according to official statistics reported by Akchabar.
Switzerland shows the greatest interest, receiving the most significant portion of the gold – 12.8 tons, valued at $807 million. It is worth noting that there was no gold export to Switzerland in the previous year.

Following Switzerland, the next largest share of gold was exported to Hong Kong, where the volume amounted to 1.4 tons, totaling $85.2 million. The United Arab Emirates also received 1.3 tons of gold, with a total value of $80.3 million. Turkey is also included in the list of countries to which Kyrgyzstan supplied precious metal, but with a modest volume of 5.6 kilograms, valued at $341.7 thousand.
