Based on the results of the first half of 2024, Kyrgyzstan's gold reserves increased and reached $80 billion. This is evidenced by the data from the report of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan, reports Economist.kg.
The agency clarified that as of January 1, 2024, the total volume of gold reserves was 842.4 tons. However, during the first six months of the current year, an additional 170.7 tons of gold were added to the state balance.
In addition to gold, Kyrgyzstan's state balance also includes significant reserves of other minerals.
Specifically, gas - 2 billion 771 million m³, coal - 1 billion 681 million tons, aluminum - 199 million 470 thousand 800 tons, oil - 17 million 681 thousand tons, antimony - 274 thousand 270.2 tons, tin - 209 thousand 328 tons, tungsten - 122 thousand 989.3 tons, rare earth metals - 63 thousand 300 tons, mercury - 42 thousand 783.4 tons, beryllium - 25 thousand 247.2 tons, silver - 1005.5 tons.
