Hockey players of Turkmenistan to fight for access to second division in Bishkek

The Men's Ice Hockey World Championship of the third division is planned to be held from March 8 to 16 in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The Turkmenistan national team will compete for promotion to the second division against the national teams of Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, and Thailand, Orient reports.

Turkmenistan's ice hockey team will also participate in the Under-18 Men's Ice Hockey World Championship of the third division. The tournament will take place from March 4 to 8 in Cape Town, South Africa, according to the press service of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.

As part of the preparations for the competitions, the Turkmen national team will travel to the Republic of Belarus on February 13, where they will undergo training camps at the multifunctional sports complex "Raubichi." It is expected that the opponents of the Turkmen junior ice hockey players will include the national teams of South Africa, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
