The Chinese company Huawei is considering the prospects of deploying 5G networks in Turkmenistan and is currently installing GPON systems in the country's regions. This was reported by Huawei's representative in Turkmenistan, Xiao Lun, during the XVII International Exhibition "Türkmentel - 2024" held in Ashgabat, according to Turkmenprotal.tm.
According to the company representative, Huawei has been operating in Turkmenistan for over 20 years, starting in 2003 when the first communication stations were installed. Over this time, a wealth of collaborative experience has been accumulated.
"We highly value the prospects for the development of the telecommunications sector in the country. Joint projects, planned on a programmatic basis, fully justify this assessment," noted Xiao Lun in an interview with the newspaper "Turkmenistan."
Founded in 1987, Huawei currently has offices in more than 100 countries worldwide and is one of Turkmenistan's key partners in developing telecommunications infrastructure.
