IDB to help develop education sector in Tajikistan

The Islamic Development Bank at the annual meeting of the Executive Board approved the annual budget of the Bank for 2023. It contains funds for the implementation of new projects in 11 countries of the world, including Tajikistan, the SPA reports.

The meeting of the Council of the bank was held under the leadership of the chairman of the bank, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jasser.

The adopted budget of the IDB provides for a total of $363.3 million for the implementation of new development projects.

In particular, the Islamic Development Bank, headquartered in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has approved a project of additional financing in the amount of $9.5 million for the development of the education sector in Tajikistan, the report says.
