Import of Kyrgyzstan increases by 72.6% in 2022

The volume of foreign trade of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 exceeded $11.8 billion, of which $9.6 billion is imported. For the year, the growth amounted to 72.6%, follows from the preliminary data of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Economist.kg reports.

The growth in imports is due to an increase in the receipts of shoe parts - by 7.5 times, cars - by 3.6 times, knitted fabrics - by 2.7 times, oil products - by 1.4 times, according to the information of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan exported in the largest volumes: other ores and concentrates of precious metals ($133 million), kerosene and jet fuel ($97.7 million), cotton yarn ($84.5 million) and smartphones ($71.5 million).
