In Kyrgyzstan, the husband of the sister of the spouse of the head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiev, as well as the nephew of President Sadyr Japarov, Ulan Japarov, have been detained again, according to local media reports.

The State Committee for National Security suspects Tashiev's relative of fraud, Sputnik-Kyrgyzstan reported.

The press service of the Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek confirmed that he has been remanded in custody until August 11.

The GKNB announced the detention of the president’s nephew, Ulan Japarov, according to Kaktus Media.

He is accused of committing a serious crime, which caused significant material damage to the victim. He has been detained until August 19.

According to Kyrgyzstan’s intelligence service, U. Japarov promised a position as the president’s plenipotentiary representative in one of the regions and allegedly received a reward of more than $100,000 but did not fulfill the promise.

It is known that President Sadyr Japarov’s relative was first detained by the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs in June 2023 on suspicion of involvement in corruption schemes at customs.

Four months later, he was released under house arrest, and the case was transferred to court.

Ulan Japarov is the son of the president’s cousin, Rakymzhan Japarov.

Recently, there was a scandal in Kyrgyzstan involving the fiancé of President Sadyr Japarov’s niece, who was arrested for producing and distributing synthetic drugs.

In light of these events, the President's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, made a statement: "The competent authorities will provide official information about their illegal activities.

I want to draw your attention once again to the fact that the highest leadership of our country does not cover up those who engage in illegal activities."

President Sadyr Japarov maintains an unwavering position that those who commit criminal acts must be held accountable in accordance with the law, regardless of their position and social status, Alagozov concluded.
