The Investment Program of Turkmenistan for the year 2024 was presented at a meeting of the Turkmen government, Orient.tm reports.
The program includes projects such as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, a new airport in the Balkan region, a combined power station with a capacity of 1574 MW, the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway, a bridge across the Garabogaz Gulf, and the second phase of the city of Arkadag.
Significant investments aimed at improving the living conditions of the population will be directed towards the construction of social facilities, including residential buildings, healthcare institutions, secondary schools, and kindergartens, as well as road infrastructure and communal services systems.
President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, directed the government to ensure that comprehensive measures for the development of industrial sectors and the establishment of new enterprises are aligned with tasks related to providing social protection for the population.
The new bridge in the Garabogaz Gulf is a crucial component of the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway and the entire logistical system being developed in the western part of Turkmenistan. It will connect Turkmenistan with Kazakhstan, providing the opportunity to increase the transportation flow and trade volumes between the two countries.
