The volume of accumulated direct investments from Russia to Kazakhstan in 2022 amounted to $3.9 billion, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development following an extraordinary meeting of the Russian-Kazakhstan Business Council held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), TASS reported.
"In January-November 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 10.2% and to $25.3 billion compared to the corresponding period in 2021. Investment cooperation between the countries is actively developing. As of January 1, 2022, the volume of accumulated direct investment from Russia to Kazakhstan amounted to $3.9 billion," said Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia.
Investment projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan in the automotive industry, agricultural engineering, railway engineering, nuclear energy and the chemical industry.
