Iran ready to invest in Tajik economy

Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan, Saadi Kodirzoda, held negotiations in Dushanbe with the Deputy President and Chairman of the Organization of Program and Budget of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Davood Manzoor, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Tajikistan, Alireza Haqiqiyon, Avesta reports.

The sides discussed a range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in the areas of investment, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as other priority projects for joint investment, according to the Tajik Committee on Investments.

Kodirzoda emphasized that the cooperative relations between Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached a new level, and the implementation of joint investment projects should be directed towards the benefit of both countries. The Chairman of the Tajik Committee also provided the guests with information about the investment opportunities in the country.

In turn, Davood Manzoor noted the readiness of Iranian entrepreneurs to invest in the agricultural, automotive, and mining sectors of Tajikistan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to strengthen trade and investment cooperation.
