Japan intends to implement seismic safety technologies in construction in Uzbekistan

The largest Japanese construction company intends to participate in building projects in Uzbekistan and organize internships and employment for 100 highly qualified Uzbek engineers in Japan, Podrobno.uz reports.

According to the portal Dunyo, these plans were discussed by the Uzbek ambassador to Japan, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, and the president of Daito Trust Construction Corporation, Kei Takeuchi.

The Japanese company plans to cooperate with the Ministry of Construction and relevant organizations in Uzbekistan. Kei Takeuchi expressed readiness to support the introduction of Japanese seismic safety technologies and earthquake-resistant construction standards in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of the construction corporation's leadership to Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan is located in seismically active zones. As a result of a major earthquake on April 26, 1966, in Tashkent, with a magnitude of 5.1, significant damage was recorded in the city, destroying many buildings and leaving around 300,000 people homeless.
