The TurStat portal has presented a rating of ski resorts in the CIS countries that are popular for winter holidays and the celebration of the New Year 2023.
Ski resorts in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia made up the top three best resorts in the CIS for winter recreation, Kabar reports.
According to TurStat, the top 3 ski resorts in the CIS included Shymbulak, Karakol and Tsaghkadzor.
The Karakol ski resort is located in the east of Issyk-Kul Lake, 400 km from Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and 7 km from the city of Karakol. In the Karakol resort in winter its possible to ski at an altitude of 2300 to 3040 meters above sea level on tracks over 20 km long.
The rating is based on the results of a study of the popularity of ski resorts in the CIS countries.
