Astana proposed to make the 20th meeting of the "Astana" talks on Syria the final round of meetings in this format, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Kanat Tumysh said.
"We propose to officially declare the 20th international meeting the final round of the Astana process on Syria. We ask that this decision be included in the joint statement," he said during the plenary session following the 20th round of talks in Astana.
He explained the proposal, including "the return of Syria to the Arab family."
