In particular, through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, we have an agreement to ship 1.5 million tons of oil in this direction from January 1 next year. A further increase is being worked out up to 6-6.5 million tons. In terms of railway capabilities, Tengizchevroil has now purchased, doubled the number of tank cars, and pilot shipments by rail have already begun in the direction of Batumi and Uzbekistan," Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov said.
The head of government added that colleagues from neighboring countries have full understanding and support in this matter. They are ready to provide Kazakhstan with their transit opportunities.
