Almost 300,000 Kazakhstanis were born in 2022, Kazinform reports with reference to the Bureau of National Statistics.
The natural increase in the population of Kazakhstan in January-September 2022 compared to the corresponding period last year (201.2 thousand people) decreased by 1.6% and amounted to 198 thousand people.
The total coefficient of natural increase per 1000 population was 13.49 people.
As a result of processing the information contained in the civil status records submitted by the registration authorities, the number of births in January-September amounted to 299.7 thousand people, which is 11.5% less than in the same period in 2021 (338.8 thousand people ).
The total birth rate per 1,000 people was 20.41 births.
In the period under review, the overall mortality rate was 6.92 deaths per 1,000 people.
The infant mortality rate was 8.18 cases per 1000 births.
